The upcoming edition of Art Basel Hong Kong will debut a private blockchain, Arcual, launched in 2022 by MCH Group (owner of Art Basel) and the LUMA Foundation. This innovative digital tool will be used for the first time by a few galleries pushing to sell artworks through its first blockchain application. Aiming to accomplish benefits from the first sale of the artwork and beyond, Arcual comes as a much-needed support system for the art world suited for all forms and mediums.
